Home groups are central to our life together here at Grandview. While the Sunday services gather us for public worship, preaching, and teaching, home groups are the place we experience mutual support, encouragement, and challenge as we grow in our life together.
In home groups we seek to practice...
- Welcome: providing a safe space, support and care as all receive and extend the welcome of Christ in homes and hearts.
- Biblical Reflection & Prayer: nurturing honesty, intimacy, confession and intercession as well as opening ourselves to Christ’s way in Scripture seeking to integrate and live out what has been studied and received in other church settings and personal ways.
- Spiritual formation: growing in vulnerability and authenticity in our walks of faith, encouraging, recognizing and naming in one another the movements and invitations of God
- Justice: seeking to pursue restoration of right relationships in our community, society and in creation.
Home groups seek to live out what it means to be ‘church’ amongst a group of known people, diverse in age, interest and background.
